Q: How long has Viva Nostalgia been in business?

A: Our previous store in Patchogue, NY (formerly known as Mother's Movies) was opened in 2009, however, we have been involved in the industry in some form or another, whether it be online or a brick-and-mortar store, for over 30 years. We have the experience and knowledge to provide you with unsurpassed service. Besides, we are classic movies lovers and collectors too, so we share your passion!


Q: Do you have any references or customer testimonials?

A: While we do receive so many commendations about our store and service, either by email or in person, we don't have the ability to publicize that information online, other than the reviews found on Google. But, our superb and long-standing feedback on ebay should give you confidence in our service and determination to provide the best overall buying experience possible.

You could also view the mini documentary video that was filmed, edited and produced by Stony Brook University film student Peter Dorr in December 2014, which will give you more insight into what we are all about.


Q: Will you ship to any destination?

A: We will ship DVDs to anywhere in the world. For all other items, we are currently only shipping to the United States and Canada. We may be willing to make an exception on an individual basis, please contact us first prior to buying.


Q: What are your shipping methods?

A: All orders are shipped through USPS. Within the United States, packages weighing less than 14 ounces are shipped by First Class Mail and anything 14 ounces or over is by Priority Mail. First Class International Airmail is used for all international destinations. Tracking is included with all orders to the United States and Canada, and may be included to other international destinations where available.


Q: What are your shipping charges?

A: Our shipping charges are very reasonable. Charges are determined by package weight and destination based on actual carrier costs. We do not add any outrageous surcharges or handling fees to your order. The minimum shipping charge for one item is $4.95 to the United States (Eastern states) or $9.95 to Canada. Discounts on multiple items are provided. Exact shipping charges for your order can be found by viewing your shopping cart and entering your zip code within the United States or location outside of the United States and clicking "calculate".


Q: How long will it take to receive my item?

A: We will ship most items within 2 business days after receiving your order, with the exception of made-to-order DVD-Rs, which may take up to 7 days to ship. Once shipped, average carrier delivery time within the United States is 4-10 business days, while international orders (including Canada) may take up to 3 weeks delivery, or longer, due to customs processing.


Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept PayPal and all major credit cards, including VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Q: Do I need an "account" to order?

A: No, you do not need an account to place an order. Simply add items to your shopping cart, enter your location, press "Check Out," and follow the directions to complete your payment. If you already have a PayPal account it will make the checkout process faster for you, but it is not necessary.


Q: Is your website secure?

A: Yes. All of your information is protected by SSL, which ensures that your information is encrypted and can't be stolen when it's sent across the internet. Furthermore, we do not store any of your personal information on our servers.


Q: Will you accept returns?

A: We do have a no-hassle 30-day return policy but it should be noted that opened merchandise can only be returned if defective. Please see our detailed return policy for more information and instructions on how to proceed with a return.


Q: Do you take special requests for an item I'm looking for that isn't on your website?

A: Absolutely! If you don't see something on our website feel free to email or give us a call with your requests. We do have more items in our store that we haven't been able to list on our website, so we may be able to help. Or, we'd be happy to special order items for you if they are available. It never hurts to ask!


Q: Can you send me a catalog by mail or email?

A: Sorry no, we do not have a catalog available at this time.
